Chalkboard opened its doors in January 2011 amongst the excitement of the bustling Maboneng Precinct. The café is a new business launched out of Red Team Go, the same business development agency that started the adjoining space The Bioscope, Johannesburg’s only independent art house and cultural cinema.

The walls and table tops are chalkboards that are there for anything from brainstorming ideas in a meeting, artistic expression, or just general doodling.

During the day, the cafe is able to provide quality food and coffee thats quick to receive and not too expensive.VIEW THE MENU
